Welcome to JC’s Bakery!

Yesterday was baking fest for me. I had so much to do yesterday. It was fun, and tiring, but worthwhile, worth a memory.

It was my birthday yesterday. Happy B’dae to me! Interestingly enough, I had a recording of the school anthem on my birthday! Like what I told a certain someone, “You are leaving behind a legacy!” So, on my sweet sexy seventeenth birthday, I recorded the school anthem, and left behind a legacy in the school, with having my name going down in history. That is if there are no hiccups in the administration or whatever.

Recording was cool and fun. Well, besides the long waiting between recording of the different sections. The studio was so cool! The furnishings were trendy and nice, the atmosphere created was very soothing and calm. The purple blinds and the orchids in the pantry made the pantry a very nice place to be in. The purple blinds allowed certain amounts of light in, but the light was not so intense to the blinding lights of an afternoon-evening sun.

The control room had two huge speakers with a panel and a plasma-tv-sized screen lcd monitor. The mouse for it was a ball, which was not new, but refreshing and interesting. The sound system in there was quite awesome, although the intonation was hard to do. It was like our soundwaves did not echo back to us enough for us to know if we were in tune or not unless we held the note for a long time.

In the studio, time seemed to run on a different plane and dimension, what seemed to be 15 minutes of recording time was in fact 45 minutes of it. Yet outside of the room, time seemed to pass so slowly, slow enough for you to realise it ticking your life away as you constantly check for the time.

We ended at 5.30 or so, with quite a sloppy recording on our part at that they did not try to retake the notes that were out of tune, which were quite obvious and bad. However, the horns’ tone were beautiful at that it sounded like professionals playing! And also, it was almost whatever I wished horns could sound like.

I cancelled my tuition, and it seemed to cause my tuition teacher a bit of problem, and went home to prepare to bake.

My first time baking, and it went quite well, or so I thought. Had a little bit of problems at the start, a bit of raising of voice and slight bickering, but after that it was fine and I baked a total of 37 muffins of which 3 I gave my family to eat. I did not try my own baking as when I finished it was already 12am and I had to sleep. The smell was great using Hershey’s chocolate chips.

I’d like to thank ALL the people who have wished me Happy Birthday yesterday and today, ESPECIALLY yesterday! Thanks all! Well, special thanks goes out to Ronald… yea… probably just him, I think… who wished me late at night even though he came back late from the recording last night. Thank you so very very much! ^^ XOXO

Okay, so that was about it for yesterday. I had to type it today because I had no energy to do anything yesterday after baking.

-=TODAY=-

The evil ploy was cracked, almost did it, but withdrew in the end to have it better planned for greater and better effect. Will be having a nice time tomorrow on that. Haha!

So, I brought my muffins to school, and after school, we had band! Band roared off to a saddening start, but it ended quite well. Basically me and Yew Jin snuck off around the audi to talk to people and do stuff which were besides taking down the intonation. Well, he did his, but I did not; but hey! I was waiting to copy John’s notes! Haha. Me ish lashzy. But no one shall know that! Teehee!

After band, despite everything being in disarray, I handed out all my 34 muffins that I brought to school. “Love your love ones, but love your enemies more.” I guess, that was the attitude to seek during this Valentine’s Day. Love be the theme, to the world, to others, to oneself irregardless acquaintance, friend, stranger, lover, family.

Ronald should have taken the rest of the 6 remaining muffins because he gave me wrong numbers to make for. Hmph! Unless… there WERE that many people who ponned band. Dr Lee couldnt take any as he left in such a hurry. So I’m giving him tomorrow, preferably during band time. Must remember to leave at least one for him. John and Matthew left too fast for me to catch them, so I hope to make it up to them tomorrow if I see them. I’ll be moving from class to class with my muffins in my hand to immediately hand out muffins to people I’m good friends with.

Well, I did not know how it tasted, but everyone said it was good, so I naturally thought it was. It was, but it was hard, or tending to the hard side, so it wasn’t really good in that aspect. I don’t know if you guys were being nice, or my family is particularly harsh on standards of food, but to me it was not up to standard. I must say a sorry to those who felt that the muffin fell short of standard because it was my first time baking and I did not really have the help a first-timer usually has, or should have.

Tomorrow is a very fun day where lots of fun stuff would happen! So WATCH OUT! Haha!

Once again, A VERY VERY BIG THANK YOU TO ALL YOU FRIENDS WHO WISHED ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! AND furthermore, this year, unexpectantly, with no one announcing my birthday to anyone, the wishes were FAR FAR more and WAY nicer, and personal! So, from the deepest depth of my heart, with the greatest gratitude and sincerest thanks, THANK YOU!

I don’t know how else to show my deepest thanks to you guys who have made my day/days, but I hope to make your lives as pleasant as you have for me! Learning how to bake and doing little things for you guys shall be a start!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
